Victoria Cross Trust 2025 Support

The Victoria Cross Trust is a Doncaster based charity that restores and maintains memorials and graves relating to recipients of the Victoria Cross (VC), the highest award for valour. we are a small team, only 2 employees and largely run by military veteran volunteers raising funds through our shops in the Frenchgate Centre. With around 70 - 80% of our turnover going towards our charitable aims we reduce as much as possible our costs in order to maximise our restorations. We also visit schools and other groups or events giving presentations and talks thereby fulfilling our second charitable aim educating people in the stories behind the VC. 

Why Doncaster? Well Doncaster has the highest number of VC recipients for a town and will always hold that accolade even though we are now a city. This is what drives us to raise the funds and the more we can reduce our costs the more work we can complete at no cost to the family or those responsible for the memorials.

In 2024 we completed 103 restorations and received a number of prestigious awards including Armed Forces Covenant Employer Recognition Scheme Gold Award in London alongside Tesla, Bloomberg and Google to name drop but a few! This year we aim to beat 103 this year and this is where chamber members might be able to help us further.  Donations and fund raising is our primary source of income and always welcome but we can do more if, for example, chamber members are able to reduce our costs by providing equipment such as tools, masonry products, cement, gravel even legal services etc. all of which add to our costs. They could also have us at one of their events as guest speakers or designated charity.
