Compliance and HR Administrator (Fixed Term Contract)

We are seeking a Compliance and HR Administrator to join our team on a fixed-term contract of 12 months covering maternity leave. 

The Compliance and HR Administrator plays a dual role in ensuring that the company complies with all internal policies and external regulatory requirements while supporting HR functions. This position supports the HR department in recruitment, onboarding and records management, while also maintaining and monitoring compliance programs, audits, and reporting processes.

Main Responsibilities
• Coordinate and support internal and external audits or regulatory inspections (ensure corrective actions are followed through).
• Support and maintain quality management systems (QMS) in line with ISO9001, ISO14001, and ISO45001 standards.
• Maintain and action items on compliance list (RISQS, ACS & ISO audits/certificates).
• Maintain and update training records and training matrix, ensuring compliance with mandatory and additional training requirements.
• Monitor employee compliance with required certifications, trainings, and background checks i.e. (SIA Licences).
• Monitor and issue Monthly Newsletters, Officer of the Month, Employee surveys and Client Surveys. 
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of relevant regulations and best practice (ISO, ACS).
• Informing employees of company and industry updates.
• Completing annual company reports.
• Collating company statistics.
• Carrying our compliance checks.
• Assist in managing HR compliance matters (e.g., right-to-work checks, GDPR compliance, employee handbook updates).
• Coordinate employee training schedules and track completion of mandatory sessions.
• Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes, including background checks and documentation.
• Other duties which the company may reasonably require the individual to undertake.
 
 
What We Expect of You
• 1–3 years of experience in compliance & administration.
• Knowledge and understanding of the document control process at operational level.
• Strong organisational and recordkeeping skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and compliance management systems.
• Knowledge of ISO 9001/14001/45001 (desirable).

• Annual salary £24,000
• 37.5 hours per week – 9am to 5pm Monday to Friday
