Woodland Group Publishes 2025 Sustainability Report, Reporting Deeper Emissions Cuts and New Service

Woodland Group has published its 2025 Sustainability Report, setting out a year of measurable operational change across its global network, alongside new ways to help customers reduce the environmental impact of their own supply chains.

● Electricity-related emissions 56% lower than the 2022 baseline

● Material handling emissions cut by 59% in a single year, with over 94% of the fleet now electric

● New services introduced to help customers reduce emissions across their own supply chains

● Third consecutive Gold EcoVadis rating, placing Woodland in the top 3% of companies assessed worldwide

Woodland Group, a global provider of sustainable supply chain solutions, has published its 2025 Sustainability Report – its fourth annual report, and its most detailed and transparent to date.

The report sets out clear progress made across Woodland’s global operations to reduce environmental impact, strengthen governance, and support its people and communities – while helping customers build more responsible supply chains of their own.

In 2025, Woodland Group reported that annual energy use generated 56% fewer electricity-related emissions than Woodland’s 2022 baseline.

Woodland continued to invest in practical ways for customers to decarbonise. In 2025, the company introduced new services – including a Book & Claim offering across road, sea and air freight – that allow businesses to reduce their Scope 3 emissions by supporting verified, lower-carbon fuels, even where those fuels are not yet physically available on every route.

Woodland retained its Gold EcoVadis rating for the third consecutive year, improving its score to 79/100 and placing the company within the top 3% of more than 150,000 organisations assessed worldwide. During the year, Woodland Logistics was also awarded Earned Recognition status by the UK’s Driver and Vehicle Standards Agency (DVSA), and three major sites achieved ISO 45001 accreditation for occupational health and safety.

The 2025 report is fully aligned with the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) framework, following a Double Materiality Assessment in 2024/25 – making it the company’s most transparent and comprehensive sustainability report to date.

Sam Warren, Sustainability Manager at Woodland Group, said:

“Sustainability is becoming part of everyday operational decisions at Woodland, rather than something that sits to one side. This report shows the progress that comes from that – measurable, audited, and honest about the challenges still ahead. It’s also a chance to share what we’re learning with our customers and partners.”

“Our 2025 report reflects the continued investment we’re making in a cleaner, more transparent supply chain – for our customers, our people, and the wider industry,” said Kevin Stevens, Chairman and CEO of Woodland Group. “As regulation and customer expectations continue to rise, we’re committed to leading from the front, and to helping our partners meet their own sustainability goals.”

Woodland’s sustainability work forms a core part of its strategy as a purpose-led, privately owned global logistics provider, with continued investment in greener technology, transparent reporting, and long-term customer partnerships.
