Whyy? Change Expands Its Marketing Courses With New Marketing Tutor

Rotherham-based apprenticeship training provider, Whyy? Change, has appointed Jeanette Baker, to the role of Marketing Tutor. Jeanette will be responsible for delivering the Level 6 Marketing Manager Apprenticeship and the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) Level 6 Marketing modules.

Jeanette Baker joins Whyy? Change with a vast array of marketing knowledge and expertise within the education sector. She brings with her over 30 years of experience at Sheffield Hallam University as a Principal Lecturer, based in the Business School teaching areas of Marketing such as market analysis, strategy and digital.

Having taught first years through to post-graduates, UK and international students, as well as those in full and part-time learning (while also leading on industry-based projects, particularly in the third sector), Jeanette has a breadth of applied teaching experiences in the UK and globally.

Jeanette’s appointment comes as Whyy? Change has seen an upward trend in business owners looking to upskill and retain their senior marketers through professional qualifications and apprenticeship training, turning towards the Level 6 Marketing Manager Apprenticeship to upskill their teams. Businesses are calling for ‘hands-on’ face to face marketing training delivered by industry experts that can be embedded across all levels of their marketing teams to develop a more cohesive workforce.

Ray Byrne, CEO of Whyy? Change shared his warm welcome to Jeanette’s appointment, saying: “Jeanette is very talented, and I’m really excited to have our learners sharpen their marketing skills under her guidance. Jeanette has been welcomed into the Whyy? team to deliver Marketing modules, that will help students be inspired to understand and meet the changing demands of marketplaces plus the wider global pressures all companies face today.”

Speaking about the appointment herself, Jeanette added: “I am really excited to join the team at Whyy? Change, their motivation to help support businesses in South Yorkshire is clear in everything they do.  Whyy?'s applied approach to learning means people complete their studies with a strongly developed set of skills and knowledge that can be applied to any industry sector, reflecting my teaching philosophy of applied learning.

"Whyy? Change see that at the heart of industry's ability to compete and grow, is the need to equip people with the skills and knowledge to manage challenging and ever-changing marketplaces. I'm looking forward to sharing this adventure with a strong team of great people.”

Jeanette’s next cohort, Level 6 Marketing Manager Apprenticeship, starting on Tuesday 28th November 2023, will equip learners with the knowledge, skills and behaviours to become proficient in implementing marketing strategies, designing marketing campaigns and developing stakeholder engagement plans to deliver against business key objectives.

The Level 6 Marketing Manager Apprenticeship includes two CIM Level 6 Awards in Professional Marketing (Innovation in Marketing and Marketing & Digital Strategy) at no additional cost, with up to a minimum of 95% funding available.
