Steve Egbury Raises £4,369.99 for Active Fusion Through Charity Boxing Challenge

Steve Egbury of Yates Jetting and a dedicated member of the Active Fusion Performance Club has completed an incredible personal challenge, raising £4,369.99 including Gift Aid in support of Active Fusion, a leading charity committed to improving the lives of young people through sport and physical activity. 

Steve’s efforts resulted in the highest fundraising total among all competitors on the night, earning him the prestigious Golden Glove in recognition of his fundraising achievement. The charity boxing match, part of Ultra White Collar Boxing, ended in a draw, keeping Steve undefeated in the ring, but his contribution to Active Fusion made him a winner off it. 

“I love everything about Active Fusion — the team, the leaders, and everything you stand for,”
Steve said. “Sport has always played a big part in my life, giving me great memories, friendships for life, and helping make me who I am today. The work Active Fusion does is amazing.” 

Steve took on the challenge not only for the cause but also for personal growth: “The challenge of trying to get fit, and the art and discipline needed to take part, pushed me to be 100% in. Having taken part two years ago and getting a draw, I wanted a win this time. However, being top fundraiser makes me a winner overall!” He trained for 12 weeks, a significant commitment for a 45-year-old stepping into a combat sport. 

The event brought together supporters from across the community, including Active Fusion Founder Lindsey James, local business representatives, and fellow Performance Club members. “I loved the campaign I ran, getting involved more with the team, and learning more about Active Fusion. Knowing it’s going to help so many young people is fantastic,” Steve added.
