A new movement is developing across the South Yorkshire borough, to help businesses overcome their recruitment issues, encourage diversity within the workplace and demonstrate Corporate Social Responsibility (CRS).
Known as “Employment is for Everyone”, this campaign is specifically focussed on increasing employment opportunities for autistic people and those with learning disabilities. Being in a steady line of work can have a tremendous positive impact on somebody’s life, giving them a true sense of purpose, wellbeing and, of course, stability.
With that being said, people with learning disabilities have a lot to offer and can be valuable members of your team. If you are currently experiencing challenges in filling vacancies, then you might find the solution to your problem by coming along to the upcoming Employment for Everyone event.
Taking place on Tuesday, 14th June this is your chance to learn more about the campaign and to be involved in its launch. You will get to hear real success stories about people with learning disabilities who have excelled in the workplace, listen to market leaders talk about why they are embracing diversity, find out more information about supported internships and take part in a Q&A session.
Plus, there will also be a networking opportunity and a free lunch provided.
The morning event is taking place at Gulliver’s Valley in Sheffield (S26 5QW) and will last from 9.30 am - 1pm. For more Information, you can email firstname.lastname@example.org or register to attend here: https://bit.ly/3KRrOBc
