Secretary of State Commends Exceed Learning Partnership Schools for National Excellence in Education

Exceed Learning Partnership is celebrating today after four of its academies received formal commendation from the Secretary of State for Education for achieving academic outcomes that rank among the best in the country.

Bentley High Street Primary School, Edlington Victoria Academy, Sheep Dip Lane Academy, and Willow Primary School, all part of the Exceed Learning Partnership, were highlighted for their exceptional performance during the 2024/25 academic year. The ministerial recognition specifically focuses on the outstanding progress made by disadvantaged pupils, placing these schools in the top tier of educational providers nationally.

In a formal letter addressed to the Trust, the Secretary of State praised the "ambition and commitment" of the school communities, stating:

"Congratulations to you and your team on the excellent outcomes... Your school’s performance places it among the very best nationally, and this is a significant achievement. This success reflects the dedication of your staff and the hard work of your pupils."

Beyond celebrating past results, the Department for Education has called upon Exceed Learning Partnership to act as a "system leader." The schools have been invited to share their expertise, champion educational networks, and lead collaborations to help raise teaching standards across the sector.
