Santa Swaps His Sleigh for a Summer Road Trip as Christmas Countdown Begins
With just six months to go until Christmas, The Christmas Decorators have sent Santa on an unexpected summer adventure.
As part of the nationwide 'Junemas' campaign celebrating the halfway point to Christmas, Summer Santa has swapped snow for sunshine, travelling across the UK and visiting some of Yorkshire's best-known landmarks, attractions and beauty spots.
Dressed for warmer weather with sunglasses, a Hawaiian shirt and inflatable rubber ring, Summer Santa has been spotted enjoying the sights while taking a well-earned break before preparations begin for the busiest time of the year.
"People certainly don't expect to see Santa in June," said Becky Mallinder, Managing Director of The Christmas Decorators Doncaster, Wakefield & Barnsley.
"Every year we like to remind people that whilst Christmas may still feel a long way off, this is actually when the planning starts. Summer is when we carry out site visits, develop designs, create proposals and secure installation dates for homes and businesses across the region. Our Summer Santa campaign is a fun way of celebrating that milestone while hopefully making people smile along the way."
Throughout the week, followers have been encouraged to guess where Santa has travelled, with clues and videos being shared across the company's social media channels.
The Christmas Decorators specialise in luxury Christmas decorating for both residential and commercial clients, designing, installing, removing and storing bespoke festive displays.
