Doncaster’s much-loved theatre, Cast, and Lakeside Village Outlet Shopping are once again stepping into the spotlight together, partnering to support this year’s Dick Whittington pantomime.
The family favourite pantomime returns to Cast with the courageous tale of Dick Wittington. Lakeside Village Outlet Shopping and Cast are teaming up to promote the magical production, which runs from Friday 27 November 2026 to Sunday 3 January 2027.
Abby Chandler, deputy centre manager at Lakeside Village said: “We’re really looking forward to supporting this year’s panto. We can’t wait to see the adventures of Dick Whittington and his famous cat in their rag to riches tale.
“It is fantastic for us to build on our long-standing relationship with Cast. We are huge fans of the pantomime and loved Cinderella last year.
“We’ll be on the lookout for the stars of the pantomime who are sure to visit the centre later this year. We’re a dog friendly centre, but we’re sure that Dick’s cat will be just as welcome!”
Pantomime audiences will follow the story of young Dick Whittington as he leaves Donny behind and seeks fame and fortune on the streets of London, accompanied only by his trusty cat. But the city isn't all gold and glamour; the wicked Queen Ratella and her army are set to ruin everything! Can Dick beat the odds and become the Lord Mayor of London?
This year’s production promises to be a thrilling journey with a barrel-load of laughs and one very clever cat!
