?
Formerly as Elisa Caton, she was Sustainability Manager for one of the UK's largest vehicle salvage, dismantling and recycling companies, SYNETIQ. There she developed a strategy to achieve net zero and reduce the wider environmental impact of the business, alongside creating a carbon conscious culture by delivering Carbon Literacy Training for colleagues, clients and local businesses. It was through Synetiq, based in Doncaster, that Elisa met Highland Carbon's Managing Director.
Prior to working for Synetiq, Elisa has worked as a Project Manager for a local authority on a variety of sustainability-related projects including solar parks, district heat networks, and EV charging infrastructure. Before her Public Sector role, Elisa was an environmental and sustainability consultant working on a wide range of new-build and refurbishment BREEAM sustainability assessments across the UK and Ireland, including universities, care homes, offices and distribution centres, as well as working in energy and utilities management and energy performance certification of commercial property.
Elisa graduated from the University of York with a MSc degree in Sustainability in 2015. She is a member of the Yorkshire and Humberside Steering Group of the Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment.
