New Sustainability & Intro to Carbon Measurement Webinars Launched
Free 30-minute sessions will help organisations understand carbon measurement, improve sustainability data and learn from industry experience. Book Here.  Everyone is welcome.

30 July 2026: Green Circle Solutions (GCS) today announces its autumn series of free Lunch & Learn sessions designed to help organisations build their knowledge, strengthen carbon measurement and take more confident action on sustainability.
The 30-minute online sessions form part of Green Circle Solutions’ wider commitment to empowerment through education, providing practical guidance, expert insight and real-world examples that organisations can apply within their own businesses and events.
The series begins on 15 September with an Introduction to Measuring & Reducing Your Carbon Footprint: A Step-by-Step Guide.
Aimed at organisations that are at the beginning of their carbon measurement journey, the session will explain the foundations of carbon reporting in a clear and accessible way. It will cover Scope 1, 2 & 3 emissions, the data organisations need to collect, how to identify significant sources of emissions and practical ways to begin reducing a carbon footprint.
Green Circle believes that a lack of knowledge or confidence should not prevent organisations from making progress. The company’s approach is built around the principle that organisations need more than carbon calculations. They also need the knowledge, internal capability and practical tools to understand the results and use them to make better decisions.
David Humphreys, Director at Green Circle, said: “Carbon measurement can appear complicated.  Our aim is to make the process clearer and more accessible. We believe in the power of knowledge and are committed to empowering our clients and the wider industry through practical training and education. By helping organisations understand their data, we can equip them with the tools and insight needed to build a stronger culture of sustainability and move from good intentions to informed action.”

Supporting industries and membership organisations
The autumn programme will also include a session on 15 October with Annie Buckle, Director of elemental, which recently partnered with Green Circle to develop a carbon measurement tool for the landscaping industry supported by the Royal Horticultural Society (RHS) and others.
The session will examine how sector-specific tools can help businesses understand and improve their impact, while enabling membership organisations and trade associations to provide more practical sustainability support to their members.
It will be relevant to professional bodies, industry associations and membership organisations considering how sustainability programmes, training and measurement tools can help increase member value, improve engagement and support sector-wide progress.

Mandatory Carbon Reporting: What the Events Sector Can Learn from EAIE
On November 3, Sabrina van Spijker, Head of Events & Sustainability at the European Association for International Education (EAIE) will join as a guest speaker. EAIE has taken the significant step of embedding mandatory travel and exhibitor carbon measurement into its 2026 Annual Conference and Exhibition, taking place at the SEC in Glasgow. While many event organisers encourage delegates and exhibitors to provide sustainability data, fewer make participation mandatory.
