Doncaster hypnotherapist David Carroll is helping put the town on the map as a training hub for therapists

A Doncaster hypnotherapist is helping position the town as a centre for professional training in the rapidly growing field of hypnotherapy.

David, founder of Doncaster Hypnotherapy Clinic and David Carroll Coaching, has spent several years working with private clients & business owners both locally and internationally while also mentoring and training aspiring therapists.

Now he is bringing practitioner-level training courses to the region, with the aim of helping more people build careers in therapeutic coaching while also attracting visitors to the area.

Personally mentored by internationally recognised hypnotherapist and coach Ali Campbell, David is one of only a small number of practitioners worldwide authorised to teach the specialist methods used within the training programme.

Earlier this year he delivered a residential practitioner training course at the historic Rossington Hall, where students from across the UK travelled to Doncaster to take part in the immersive programme.
David also announced that Rossington Hall has also been booked for the next cohort in October

The multi-day training brought visitors into the local area to stay, train and use local facilities, something David believes highlights Doncaster’s potential as a destination for professional learning events.

“Doncaster has some fantastic venues and excellent transport links,” he said. “It makes it an ideal place for immersive training where people can focus fully on learning and developing new skills.”

Further training courses are planned in Birmingham and London, although David says Doncaster will remain central to the programme, with additional residential events expected to return to Rossington Hall later this year.

Alongside the training work, David continues to see private clients from around the world, helping people overcome issues such as anxiety, stress, phobias and confidence challenges.

His work has also begun attracting international attention. David has recently been invited to help establish a new hypnotherapy training school in Asia, reflecting growing global interest in therapeutic coaching and mental wellbeing support.

Despite the international opportunities, he says he wants Doncaster to remain at the heart of the training.

“I’m proud to be based here,” David said. “If we can bring people into Doncaster from across the UK and beyond to learn new skills and start new careers, that can only be a positive thing for the town.”
