Year 2 Students at Harrison College Encourage Businesses to Support Shoe Box Appeal for Christmas

Students in Year 2 at Harrison College are packing charity shoeboxes. These will be sent to children in different countries for Christmas. We would appreciate any donations to support this project.

If you can donate, we suggest these types of gifts:
Hygiene items (toothbrushes/feminine hygiene/hairbrushes)
Games (card games/marbles)
Stationary (notepads A5 lined or plain/sharpeners/wax crayons)
Accessories (hats/gloves/scarves/socks – suitable for children aged 2-4 and / or 10-14)
Toys (Age 10-14)

All items will need to be brought to Harrison College before the 17th October.

DO NOT INCLUDE: Items with very small parts, toothpaste, sweets, lotions, and liquids, used or damaged items, war-related items, seeds, gum, chocolate, or food items, religious or political literature, medicines, aerosol cans, sharp or fragile items.

If you would prefer to give a small donation so that we can buy the items, we have a crowd funding page on Just Giving.

Our deadline is the 17th of October 2024

We have chosen to support Operation Christmas Child which is a Samaritan’s Purse initiative, and this charity sends boxes of goods to children in need worldwide so children can experience Christmas. We are sure you will agree that this is a worthwhile charity to support.

Thank you.
