Ash, Founder of Marvel Projects UK CIC, is set to take to the TEDx stage on 7 January 2027, speaking at TEDx Maid Marian Way in Nottingham as part of the event's "Rediscovering Narratives" theme.
His talk will explore what losing his sight taught him about vision, resilience and leadership — examining how the experience reshaped his approach to adversity, decision-making, and leading both himself and others.
Speaking ahead of the event, Ash said: "Losing my sight forced me to reconsider what it truly means to have vision. It taught me that resilience isn't simply about enduring difficult circumstances — it's about learning from them, accepting responsibility for what happens next, and finding the courage to create a new direction."
Ash's talk forms part of a wider programme of speakers at TEDx Maid Marian Way, each sharing personal stories and ideas worth spreading. His session will draw on his own lived experience to offer a fresh perspective on leadership and resilience for anyone navigating uncertainty or unexpected change.
