Active Fusion Take Home Two Awards at the Doncaster Business Awards 2025

We are incredibly proud and honoured to share that Active Fusion was recognised with two awards at the Doncaster Business Awards 2025, held at Doncaster Racecourse and hosted by Doncaster Chamber, with headline sponsorship from Twenty Four IT Services. 

We were nominated for Charity of the Year and Campaign of the Year, alongside an outstanding group of organisations delivering inspiring work across our borough. To be named Charity of the Year is a huge honour, and one we are especially proud to receive again, having last won the award in 2023. This recognition reflects the continued impact of our work and our ongoing commitment to supporting children and young people. 

We were also deeply humbled to receive the Finalists’ Choice Award, a truly special accolade as it is voted for by fellow finalists from across all award categories. To be chosen by organisations and individuals who themselves are doing incredible work across Doncaster makes this recognition particularly meaningful. It represents respect from our peers and acknowledges the positive difference our work makes for children and young people every day. 

The Finalists’ Choice Award is more than a trophy. It reflects the trust, relationships and collaboration we have built across our city, and shows that our commitment to creating healthier, happier futures for young people resonates with others who understand both the challenges and rewards of making a difference in our communities. 

Together, these awards recognise the work we do every day to support children and young people across our city and South Yorkshire. At Active Fusion, our mission is to help every child develop a love for being active, build confidence and form positive habits that last a lifetime, particularly for those facing the greatest disadvantage. To have this work recognised is a privilege and reinforces why we do what we do. 
 
None of this would be possible without our incredible team, volunteers, partners and supporters. Their passion, dedication and belief in our mission sit at the heart of everything we achieve, and these awards are a celebration of their commitment. 

We would also like to congratulate the other finalists in the Charity of the Year category: Autism Plus, Bluebell Wood Children’s Hospice, Citizens Advice Doncaster Borough, South Yorkshire Community Foundation, and YWCA Yorkshire. Our sincere congratulations also go to Venatu Recruitment Group, winners of the Campaign of the Year award, along with the other finalists: Doncaster Racecourse & Exhibition Centre, Doncaster Culture and Leisure Trust, The Sleep Charity, and TwentyFour IT Services. 

Finally, congratulations to all finalists and winners across every category. It was an amazing night celebrating the very best of Doncaster, and we are proud to stand alongside so many individuals, businesses and charities who are making a real difference in our community.
