Every Move Matters
This summer, Active Fusion is calling on individuals, families, schools, community groups, and businesses to come together for a powerful new fundraising campaign designed to improve the lives of children and young people through movement.
Launching on 15th June and running until 15th July, Every Move Matters is a month-long campaign encouraging people to get active in any way they can while raising vital funds to support young people’s physical health, mental wellbeing, confidence, and social connections.
At the heart of the campaign is a simple but important message:
Move more. Feel better. Give back.
The campaign has been created in response to growing concerns around children’s physical inactivity, mental wellbeing, social isolation, and unequal access to positive opportunities. Across many communities, especially in areas facing disadvantage, too many young people are missing out on the life-changing benefits that being active can bring.For Active Fusion, movement is about far more than sport.
Being active can help a young person build confidence, improve mental health, reduce anxiety, develop friendships, strengthen resilience, and feel more connected to school and their community. It can create happier, healthier futures and give children the opportunity to thrive.
However, barriers such as cost, accessibility, confidence, transport, and lack of local opportunities continue to prevent many children and families from accessing regular physical activity.
Every Move Matters aims to change that.
The campaign is designed to be inclusive, flexible, and accessible to everyone. Supporters are encouraged to fundraise in ways that work for them, proving that every action, no matter how big or small, can make a difference.
People can support the campaign by:
• Taking on a walking, running, cycling, or fitness challenge
• Hosting a bake sale or coffee morning
• Organising a workplace fundraiser
• Holding a sponsored event
• Wearing red for the day
• Dancing, skipping, swimming, or simply committing to moving more
• Fundraising as a family, school, friendship group, or business team
The possibilities are endless because every move counts.
Most importantly, every pound raised during the campaign period will be doubled through match funding, meaning donations will go twice as far in helping Active Fusion continue delivering programmes that support children and young people across local communities.
Funds raised through Every Move Matters will help Active Fusion continue creating safe, positive, and inclusive opportunities where young people can be active, build confidence, improve wellbeing, and develop lasting social connections.
The campaign is not about being the fastest, strongest, or most athletic. It is about participation, community, inclusion, and creating opportunities for every child to experience the benefits of movement.
Together, we can help more young people move more, feel better, and believe in themselves.
