About Us

We are the only residential College for Adults 19+ in the North. We prepare learners to re-enter education, gain employment or make a career change through immersive residential learning and specialist support. Learners benefit from:
Studying alongside other adults
Staying residentially for an immersive learning experience to focus on their studies
And Acres of National Trust gardens and parkland to enjoy for free

We have strong relationships with communities, charities and service providers. we can work with you to provide the best package of courses and training and welcome the opportunity to work together to improve people's skills, confidence and futures.

We can deliver courses in the community, arrange bespoke visits to the College, can attend your events and presentations, and hold community stakeholder events.

DID YOU KNOW we have conference facilities at Wentworth Castle to hire
Northern College resides in the grade I listed building of Wentworth Castle nestled in the grounds of the only grade I listed gardens in South Yorkshire. We have 5 conference and event rooms with state of the art technology for hire which can accommodate from 12 to 100 delegates depending on layout. With the added benefit of overnight accommodation in one of our 23 en-suite converted bedrooms within our Home Farm Complex for delegates why not stay the night.
