Lucy Prior MBE
Lucy Prior is the Business Growth Director of Trough-Tec Systems, a HIRD Group company. Lucy has worked in hospitality and recruitment but has made herself a home within the rail sector where she has worked for almost 20 years. Lucy started in export sales for a train maintenance equipment company and over her various roles has had the fortune to carry out her work everywhere from having sales meetings trackside and down train maintenance pits to giving presentations at British Embassies. In 2018 she received an MBE for services to rail export which also cited her work in supporting women in rail and encouraging younger people in to the sector. The railway is famous for being a male dominated industry, and being a “non-engineer” maybe made Lucy’s journey more interesting; however, Lucy is proud to be a part of the #RailwayFamily and is always looking to inspiring future-leaders.
