Description
This online course will highlight the changing nature of our world of work in the public and private sector, and showcase a range of applications of restoration practices in this setting. You'll have the opportunity to learn specific tools you can apply to your own practice and how to address and overcome challenges in your own work.
About the course:
The course consists of a two-day online block and four one-hour follow up sessions with restorative experts over a two-month period.
Day one will focus on an introduction to the emerging trends in an ever-changing modern workplace, restorative approaches and the levels and examples of restorative interventions.
Day two will cover examples of tools, restorative problem solving, creating a speak-up culture and how to operate restorative circles.
The following four one-hour sessions will focus on identified restorative initiatives and support of their planning and implementation.
The course will be delivered by
- Gosia Ciesielska, Professor of Management and Organisation Studies, Sheffield Business School
- Radhika Nair, Associate Director of People, Croydon Health Services NHS Trust, former NHS England National Lead for Civility and Respect
- Mark Finnis, Author, trainer and consultant on restorative practices in organisations
- Catherine A. Sanderson, Manwell Family Professor in Life Sciences, Amherst College and expert on by-stander effect the Psychology of Courage and Inaction

The dates of our next course will be Thursday 25 April for day one and Friday 10 May for day two.
