Description
Suitable for team leaders and supervisors. Learn how to transition from a hands-on role within a team to management positions involving time management, staff responsibilities, achieving area targets and reporting to a higher level.
Tues 30th March (9:00am-12:00pm) & Tues 6th April (9:00am-12:00pm)
Attendance on both dates is required to complete the course.
Key content:
- Preparing to transition from team leader or supervisor into a management or wider leadership role. What is expected of managers in the workplace?
- Understanding HR, employment law, compliance and other organisational expectations and responsibilities of those above and those below.
- Skills and personal qualities of effective managers and leaders in today’s workplaces.
- Formulating a personal action plan for your own management development.
- Self-assessment and reflection on current strengths and areas for development.
Joining instructions and invoice for payment will be sent directly from Doncaster College. The online training session will be delivered via Microsoft Teams.

This is a 1 day course delivered as 2 x half day sessions (30th March & 6th April 2021). You will automatically be booked onto sessions 2.
