Join us for our MONTHLY forum for HR personnel and management to help provide useful skills and information to support your employees.
About this event
Join us for our MONTHLY forum designed for HR personnel and management to help provide useful skills and information to support your employee’s wellbeing.
Each month we discuss different topics that will help to relieve specific issues your employees may be facing and give you an opportunity to share your own experience and knowledge to help others within the group.
Each month join us for 1 full hour of learning and sharing:
• 5 Minutes- Introductions of speakers
• 40 Minutes- Presentation and Group Activities
• 15 Minutes- Sharing and Group Q and A
Who are EmpowerPlan?
EmpowerPlan provide wellbeing and development services for employees to help enhance their lives, provide mental fitness resources and therapy and counselling support services.

With our EAP, your staff have a large library of self-help resources to help maintain mental and physical fitness and tools to develop new skills to bring balance and encourage progress in their life and career.
We work on 8 pillars of wellbeing in all of our resources and services that we offer, and the forum will also work on each of these pillars as we go through each month.
Monthly Topics
August- How mindfulness can benefit employees
The practice of mindfulness is something many are trying to introduce into their lives currently. We are discovering the benefits to mindfulness practices within both home and working lives. We look at how can you promote and encourage these practices with your staff and why is it beneficial?
September- Recognising burnout in employees
Knowing the signs of burnout is extremely important for managers to be able to recognise before further mental health issues develop, or before employees choose to leave their employment to relief the symptoms and issues. We go through some of those signs and what you can then do to solve the issue.
October- Using breathwork to relief emotions and trauma
There are a number of holistic service providers that offer fantastic resources to help support employees in dealing with past and present concerns. Within this discussion we will look at Breathwork workshops and the benefits of these for employees.
November- Chair yoga that can done in the office
Yoga is a very popular form of exercise for both men and women of all ages. There are a number of benefits to regularly practising yoga and we will discuss these, along with how you can make time for your employees to benefit.
December- How and why you should develop self-awareness in your employees
Becoming more self-aware in the workplace enables your employees to relate better to their colleagues and superiors and creates a more harmonious environment. Staff who are self-aware are able to look at issues more objectively and the role they have played in creating them. They are mindful and operate in the here and now.
January- What small environmental changes have a big impact on your employees
We look at why the way the office looks effects your employees and what small changes can you introduce that will have a big impact on their overall wellbeing. Employees spend a large amount of time at work if working full time hours and its important to make employees feel comfortable, safe and well.
