Join the Sheffield City Region Chambers on 21st January to discover if your business could supply into Europe’s largest infrastructure project, HS2. 
 
Over 2,000 businesses have already won work. 400,000 contract opportunities exist on HS2 Phase 1 and billions of pounds worth of contract opportunities are still become available over the next few years.
 
HS2 is working towards a benchmark for more than 95% of contracts to be with British based business and at present over two thirds of contracts have gone to small and medium sized enterprises. From Asset Information Management Systems (AIMS), Conveyancing Services, MS Dynamics to Operational Telecommunication and Security Systems there could be an opportunity for you.

Andrew Stephenson, Minister of State at the Department for Transport
Andrew Stephenson was appointed Minister of State at the Department for Transport on 13 February 2020.

He was previously Minister of State at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office and the Department for International Development from 25 July 2019 to 13 February 2020. He was first elected as Conservative MP for Pendle in May 2010.

He was a Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy from 4 April 2019 to 25 July 2019. He was also a Government Whip, Lord Commissioner of HM Treasury, from January 2018 to April 2019, and served as an Assistant Government Whip from June 2017 to January 2018.

Robin Lapish, Supply Chain Manager at HS2 Ltd
Robin is responsible for delivering market and supply chain stakeholder engagement across the HS2 project, with a specific focus on leading supply chain management for the HS2 Rolling Stock and Railway Systems Programmes. He engages with a wide range of stakeholders to communicate HS2 Ltd's requirements, build relationships and ensure suppliers remain informed, engaged, and ready to compete for contracts.
 
Previously, Robin worked in various supply chain, procurement and commercial roles at Transport for London and Crossrail.  He is also National Co-Chair of G4C (Generation for Change), the young professional network of Constructing Excellence which champions the change agenda in construction.

At the event, Robin will provide the audience with an overview of HS2, an update on its procurement programme, will explain what HS2 is looking for from its supply chain and how suppliers of all sizes can get ready to be part of Europe's largest infrastructure project.
