Managing Director of King Asia Foods Ltd
So Him Fong is a distinguished second-generation Chinese businessman based in the Doncaster, boasting over 40 years of expertise in managing the family-run businesses. His extensive experience spans across multiple industries, including food manufacturing, property development, and retail. As the Managing Director of King Asia Foods Ltd, So has played a fundamental role in shaping the company's growth and success. In addition, he leads Pearl Northern Developments, a prominent property development firm, and oversees a successful small retail chain.
So's academic footing in the construction industry is solid, with a Building Degree earned in the early 1980s. He is also an Associated Chartered Builder, reflecting his professional dedication and expertise. Business acumen runs in So's DNA, enabling him to adeptly juggle numerous responsibilities and projects simultaneously.
Throughout his career, So Him Fong has navigated the complexities of family businesses with skill and finesse. His wealth of experience and deep understanding of business operations make him an invaluable resource for sharing insights and strategies on effectively managing and growing family enterprises.
Adam Fong
Managing Director of King Asia Foods Ltd
Adam grew up around the family business (King Asia Foods) and worked summers in his teens. This helped him begin to gain a valuable knowledge of the business from the factory floor up.
After heading to university to complete a Mechanical Engineering and studying for a Masters in Property Development and Construction, he eventually returned to the family business. Adam began his return to King Asia working in the Maintenance department which saw Adam benefit from the knowledge he had learnt from his studies with his engineering background providing him with a strong foundation in problem-solving and process optimisation . From here Adam progressed into the Production Management department and then on into Project Management where he has also completed his NEBOSH General Certificate.
With 17 years in the business Adam is currently positioned as the Health & Safety and Project Manager at King Asia Food and helps to provide additional support and expertise to the family's other businesses and ventures.
