James Topps - Global Operations & Supply Chain Director, Skanwear
James Topps is the Global Operations & Supply Chain Director at Skanwear, where he leads the strategic direction and performance of Supply Chain, Operations, Customer Service, and IT functions, ensuring the consistent delivery of world-class service. With extensive experience across retail, manufacturing, and global distribution, he brings a proven ability to align cross-functional teams, drive cohesion, and unlock operational efficiencies through scalable systems and processes. His approach centres on building agile, customer-focused operations that support sustainable growth and operational excellence across international markets.
James holds a BA and MSc, alongside MCIPS accreditation and a CIMA certification in business accounting, combining strong academic credentials with practical industry expertise. He is also the author of Managing the Retail Supply Chain (ISBN: 978 0 7494 8062 2), published in both English and Mandarin, where he shares practical insights into supply chain strategy and execution.
What to expect:
Director’s Dinners are curated specifically for senior decision-makers, with attendance reserved for directors and C-suite leaders from organisations within Doncaster Chamber membership. The room is intentionally comprised of individuals with strategic and commercial authority, ensuring a high-level, peer-to-peer environment focused on insight and meaningful connection rather than sales activity. Directors are welcome to book additional tickets, including one developing leader or junior colleague(no limit to number of Directors/C-Suite places); however, developing leader or junior colleague may only attend when accompanied by an eligible Director or C-Suite decision-maker and are not permitted to attend independently.
