This 7-month distance learning course, CIOB Certificate in Fire Safety in Construction, provides a holistic view of fire safety within the context of modern safety regulations following the Grenfell Incident and the introduction of the Building Safety Act 2022.

Course content includes self-paced e-learning modules, consisting of live webinars, interactive tasks and dynamic case studies which are regularly revised to always be relevant.

The CIOB Certificate in Fire Safety in Construction course gives you the tools to confidently lead fire safety in construction roles. From deep diving into current legislation to designing effective protective systems and evacuation protocols. Learn how to work with occupiers, contractors and local fire services to solve practical safety challenges. Gain the expertise, credibility and confidence to create compliant, secure builds that keep people safe, all whilst advancing your career.

Members gain 10 CIOB CPD points when you reflect on the ethical aspects of your learning from this activity.

To enrol: Please Click Here to be eligible for the course. This form will be used to assess your suitability for registration in the Level 6 Certificate in Fire Safety. To be eligible for the course, you must achieve a score of 100% in all responses. If your score falls between 50% to 100%, we will review your eligibility and contact you to discuss your potential qualification for the course. Please ensure that you send a copy of your score to academy@ciob.org.uk as proof of completion.

By successfully completing the Certificate in Fire Safety in Construction, delegates who also have 3 years in a technical role in construction can then go on to apply for the TechCIOB qualifier.  Find out more about our Technical Membership here.
