Description
Our Virtual Roundtable series of events offer a facilitated discussion on a wide range of business-relevant topics.
They are a unique opportunity to hear about new developments across the borough and wider region, as well as contribute to shaping future strategy and influence the support that will make a difference to your business.
This session will focus on Circular Economy and how you can influence future priorities and focus for Doncaster Council and other Team Doncaster partners in this space.
Over the past few years, the prominence of the environmental agenda and the need to hit net-zero targets (Doncaster and South Yorkshire by 2040, Nationally by 2050) has risen to the top of thinking across all sectors.
This, however, does not need to solely become a challenge that businesses, alongside other sectors, have to grapple with but an opportunity to do business differently and help Doncaster become the best place to do business. One of these opportunities is around the concept of a Circular Economy. A Circular Economy is one that involved sharing leasing, reusing, repairing, refurbishing and recycling existing materials and products for as long as possible. It is where one person or businesses waste, can become someone else’s treasure.
But what are the opportunities for a Circular Economy in Doncaster? And how do we collectively get there? Join our roundtable where The Royal Society for Arts, Manufacturers and Commerce (RSA - https://www.thersa.org/about) will be talking about a Circular Economy and what this might mean for businesses, local businesses will give examples of it happening in Doncaster already
This roundtable series is a key moment in the development of Doncaster's Economic strategy (dates and topics subject to change)
