The event will feature presentations and a panel discussion focusing on the current and future challenges for businesses and practicalities that need to be addressed to reduce the impact for businesses following the transition period.
The panel will cover the following practical subject areas:
- The impacts of the movement of goods across the world following Brexit, including changes to Incoterms, documentation and customs procedures
- Legal considerations of trading overseas
- Multi-national employment challenges and risks
- Cultural issues and future EU market opportunities
- Financial and exchange rate challenges for traders
This is an informative update designed to enable business-leaders across Doncaster to understand the current position around Brexit and areas to focus on to be prepared for 1st January 2021. This will include a short Q & A session at the end of the event.
Following analysis of the International Trade Survey, this event is the first public opportunity to listen to the observations and concerns of respondents from across the borough, helping us identify the aspects that require lobbying with key decision-makers on topical issues such as customs changes, employment and possible risks around Brexit.
Our guest panel of speakers are specialists in their fields with vast experience of helping businesses to address challenges that are likely to be exacerbated by Brexit. This is a great opportunity for attendees to channel this expert knowledge and raise questions to support their organisational planning and be ready for 1st January 2021.
