Learning Outcomes
By attending this course participants will:
- Understand how to set up Quickbooks for a business
- Become familiar with the Dashboard and navigation
- Understand how the primary functions work
- Be able to perform basic bookkeeping and bank reconciliation in Quickbooks
- Run basic reports to analyse business performance
Course will be held on Wed 18th August & Wed 25th August (both 9:30am-12:30pm)

Getting Started in Quickbooks
- Setting up business information
- Dashboard and navigation
Money In
- Customer Invoicing and sales receipts
- Estimates
- Products and services
- Accounts receivable
Money Out
- Supplier bills and expenses
- Purchase Orders
- Accounts payable
Banking
- Understand the basic principles of banking in Quickbooks
- Importing and connecting a bank feed
- Bank rules
- Bank reconciliation
VAT in Quickbooks
- VAT settings in Quickbooks
- Prepare and validate a VAT return
- Record a payment or refund
Chart of Accounts
- Understand how the chart of accounts works in Quickbooks
- The effect on financial reports
- Add, edit or delete accounts
Reports
- Run financial reports
- Customise reports and add to favorite
- Export to Excel
Credit notes and journals
- Process credit notes
- Enter a basic journal in Quickbooks
- Participants are encouraged engage in the exercises in each module, using a
- sample company in Quickbooks.
