SUMMARY:Counter-Terrorism Protective Security and Preparedness (CTSaP) Level 3 Course
DESCRIPTION:Course Overview \n\nThe Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025 (Martyn's Law) places statutory responsibilities on operators of qualifying venues and public spaces across the United Kingdom. Meeting those responsibilities requires more than awareness training. It requires a structured\, recognised pathway that gives the people accountable a documented\, demonstrable record of genuine preparedness.\n\nCTPSaP is the SFJ Awards Level 3 Award in Counter-Terrorism Protective Security and Preparedness. It is the only qualification of its kind developed in collaboration with and endorsed by the National Counter-Terrorism Security Office (NaCTSO)\, and is aligned directly to the Act. Sitting within the SFJ Awards Competent Person in the Workplace (CPIW) framework\, it is built around real workplace application rather than knowledge recall. Across six mandatory units\, learners develop from foundational counter-terrorism knowledge through to producing a counter-terrorism risk assessment\, preparedness plan\, and written recommendation for their own venue or organisation. These are practical documents the organisation can use\, not academic exercises.           \n\nRedline Assured Security is an SFJ Awards Approved Centre\, delivering CTPSaP to organisations across the standard and enhanced tiers of the Act. CTPSaP is regulated by Ofqual (qualification number 610/7028/2) and approved by Qualifications Wales (C00/5349/6). It is available to learners in the United Kingdom.\n\nWho This Qualification Is For:\n\nCTPSaP is designed for the people in venues\, sites\, and organisations who hold operational or strategic responsibility for counter-terrorism preparedness. It is relevant for staff at any premises in the standard or enhanced tier under the Act\, including:\n\n  Security officers and team leaders\n\n  Venue and facilities supervisors\n\n  Event safety stewards and supervisors\n\n  Protective security advisers\n\n  Operations managers and general managers of qualifying venues\n\n  Compliance\, legal\, and risk leads with responsibility for venue safety obligations\n\n  Health and safety managers extending their remit to include security preparedness\n\n  Senior staff at standard and enhanced tier premises seeking a formally recognised credential to evidence their duty of care\n\nEntry Requirements\n\nThere are no formal entry requirements for CTPSaP. The qualification is recommended for learners aged 18 and over. Redline carries out a skills scan ahead of enrolment to ensure learners can engage with the material at the appropriate level.\n\nOn completing CTPSaP\, learners will be able to:\n\n     Understand the attack methods used by terrorists and the threat landscape relevant to their venue or site\n\n     Assess the likelihood of those threats and apply a proportionate\, evidence-based risk framework\n\n     Identify and apply proportionate mitigation strategies to reduce risk to their organisation\n\n     Recognise the limits of their own expertise and know when and how to seek specialist advice\n\n     Produce a structured counter-terrorism risk assessment and written preparedness recommendation for their own venue or organisation\n\nThe qualification is built around six mandatory units:\n\n1.    Introduction to Counter-Terrorism. Foundational understanding of UK threat levels\, common attack types\, and key counter-terrorism legislation.\n\n2.    Positive Organisational Security Culture. The principles and behaviours that make a venue ready\, not just protected on paper.\n\n5.    Completing a Counter-Terrorism Risk Assessment and Preparedness Plan. The applied unit where learners build the risk assessment and preparedness plan their organisation will use.\n\n6.    Completing a Counter-Terrorism Written Recommendation.
